What does J38 mean?
The name of the school is derived from John 3:8, where Jesus says, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Our desire is facilitate an atmosphere for people to learn how to live this way.
What will I gain from J38?
Our goal is that while enrolled in J38 School of Discipleship that you learn how to grow in relationship with God by learning how to hear and obey His voice as well as learn how to build life-long relationships with like-minded believers.
Although the above question is valid, maybe a better question to ask yourself is, ‘What will the Lord gain from me?’
What is J38’s Curriculum?
Our curriculum is almost exclusively based in scripture. Students will learn straight from the scripture how to live a life in fellowship with and submission to the Spirit of God.
Preview of topics covered: How to study the Bible, How to pray, How to hear God’s voice, How to obey God’s voice, God’s design for marriage and family, godly finances, and many more various biblical principles.
How much does J38 cost?
Tuition cost covers school expenses, housing, food, and school-related travel. Cost is at a minimum and therefore must change yearly with inflation. As of 2025 the total cost for 9 months is $7500 OR monthly payments of $833.
What is the Duration of J38?
Graduation of J38 School of discipleship typically requires two years. These two years are broken up into two 9 month school years (break for Summer). These school years follow the average school year with various Holiday breaks.
What does a J38 day look like?
A given week day consists of personal devotion time with the Lord, daily classes with pastoral and church staff, and serving opportunities in the church and community. But we are always on standby to be ‘…Like the wind…’ and follow the Lord as he leads.
What is J38 Housing like?
While enrolled with us students live on campus in separate men’s and women’s dorms where there is provided a room (with roommates), a bed, and storage space for personal belongings.
